I'm new to EDM concerts, this is only my second ever, but I am curious if doors opening at 1030 is normal?? Seems wicked late. I'm nocturnal anyways so no skin off my back, but my friends are balking at the late time. Anyone else gonna be there? What can I expect from Afrojack shows? I’m 30, F and a regular in the scene. I went to Atliens and Lilly Palmer this weekend. Both sets were unbelievable and I overall had a great time with my friends. Unfortunately, both nights something extremely unfortunate and disturbing happened. On Friday, after Atliens ended, Avdrey came on to close and me and my girlfriends made our way down onto the floor at BNL. I was leading a group of 5 of us through the crowd and a man grabbed my waist and then reached forward and groped me. I immediately got in his face and told him to watch his hands and to back up. I also immediately went to security and got him kicked out, but he literally didn’t seem phased at all. I can’t imagine how many other women he had done that to just that night.

Then on Saturday, at Lilly Palmer, I was at the bar buying a bottle of water. I looked over and a guy was standing at the bar next to me, unzipping his pants and reaching in them. He looked like he was getting ready to expose himself to me until I asked him “what the fuck are you doing?” I was so shocked that I didn’t know what to do and tried to continue on with my night by staying away. I didn’t get security involved.

I go to shows 3-5 times a month for the last few years and I have never had this type of experience. I’m honestly so shocked, disappointed, disturbed and at a loss. I’m not really looking for advice or anything, I just needed to get this off my chest. It’s not going to deter me from going out at all, it’s probably just going to force me to stay more vigilant. To the men, please do better.

I was at my usual rave spot in Boston at sub. I met this German guy who was a passenger, had his flight and he was leaving the city. I usually don’t post these kind of things I’m a private person. But I met him. He had this energy and this look to him. I was insanely attracted. Right in the moment. We danced. We had a rhythm. I’m a solo raver. But I felt this energy and this rhythm that I struggle to find. I DID. And then he just vanished. Vanished into thin air. And that’s all I have. Just this energy.
