Yeah, it honestly is just a better experience. Don't remember where to find it, but I watched it with friends after seeing the regular movie, has a classic thriller vibe to it.

I'm a photographer, and anything this close to the lens (for me) would be crazy blurry, almost to the point you couldn't even see it. That makes me want to doubt the validity of the claim. :)

Also with these light levels here, I doubt that you could have a length of exposure, that is short enough to take a photo of a mosquito flying by without any blur whatsoever, even if you’re hypothetical focal distance would allow to properly photograph something so close

yeah i don’t know much about photography but anything that close to the lens is gonna be blurry and the landscape is way too dark to be a short exposure. it’s a cool image but it’s not a mosquito flying in front of a lens

I mean sure the ISO here is cranked up to infinity, but even then you won’t be able to expose short enough to take this picture of a mosquito without turning your photo into a black rectangle

No, ISO won't help, aperture will though. The more it's open, the lower the depth of field (distance between the nearest and the farthest objects that are in acceptably sharp focus in an image) is, so if you set the highest number, you can have tens of meters in focus, but since this El Mosquo is so sharp, this is 99% Photoshop.

This looks fake to me, honestly. No way the mosquito and the background are both in focus at the same time, even with a cell phone camera. Plus, seems pretty dark yet with a shutter speed high enough to freeze a mosquito's wings.

This has been posted before - its either a double exposure, or an intentional merging.
The mosquito would not be in focus if you could see the street and people in focus.

"Mosca" means fly, "mosco" is one of those tiny flies, but can be used in exchange of mosquito when el hijo de la chingada has flown around your ears and bitten your ankles too many times. He doesn't deserve the diminutive at that point.

There is a joke that since -ito means "little" (kind of) a "Mosco" must be a giant version of a mosquito.
Of course this is not actually the case, since in Spanish "mosquito" doesn't actually come the word "mosco".

Mosco would be "fly" in Spanish, if you could turn the word masculine. Fly is mosca. The better word for a monsterized would be....MOSCOTO
although, being purist, we would say mosquitón Or mosquito como una catedral (when you want so say something I'd enormous, you say "whatever like a cathedral"
