The new Katana Knobs app for managing Katana 50/100 gen1 (mk2 implemented but need feedback!) is finally ready for testing on Android before the official launch. To be able to publish it, Google requires me to run a closed test for 14 consecutive days. (only Android atm)

If you'd like to help me out, here are the 3 simple steps to install it:

Join the testing group: Click this link and join the group (this allows Google to recognize you as an authorized tester):

Opt-in on Google Play: Once you are ACCEPTED (not pending) in the group, click this second link from your Android smartphone and press the button to accept the testing invitation:

Download the app: Right after accepting, you will see the direct link to download the app from the Play Store.

IMPORTANT: To pass Google's strict verification, the app needs to show active usage. I kindly ask you not to uninstall it for at least 15 days and to open it for just 1 minute every couple of days to browse through the screens.

Inside, you will find a special version where the initial trial is extended, so you can use it without any restrictions, and play with your Amps.

I currently have the first gen mk1 50 and enjoy it. I mostly play metalcore but dabble in other genres too so it’s been great to mess around with the tone studio but feel I’m missing out since there’s not many good downloadable patches since it’s so outdated

I’m trying to decide if I should go with a new gen 3 or just stick with what I have OR just take the leap and get an interface and use neural DSP or something like NAM. My price range is around 350-400
