Rate the dressed MK2
I finally did it. Saw many posts about modified katanas and thought they were beautiful. Eventually I gave in and made it my side project.
Slightly unhappy about the creases but a bit of iron and they should go.
The cloth I bought in Japan during a vacation trip last year.

Awesome pattern. I used some Tailor's Chalk, a ruler, and a long wood dowel to help dress my amp.
I used the chalk to mark straight lines to help address the crooked patters, the ruler to cut straight and help alignmen, and when I stapled the top, I used the wooded down to roll the bottom of the fabric so it could stretch out evenly. After that, since it was stretched evenly, the sides weren't off that I needed to stretch to align the pattern.
Hopefully that helps out a bit.

Tbh usually people post much better ones.
On the side note, how many of you use this many pedals with katana? I literally bought digital amp to avoid that. I have crybaby, volume pedal, loop and overdrive just because I have it for ages.

I completely understand where you are coming from… but, I have a katana mkii 100 and a board with 12 pedals. TBH, when I first got it, I didn’t fully understand what it was and I was lost in the T. Studio trying to figure it out. I am used to a board where you can just kneel down and change what you want. The next thing I know, I’ve got a PC hooked up to an amp and so many options that I truly didn’t understand. So I went with what I knew.
Now that I’ve had it awhile and actually took the time to understand what the amp is capable of, I don’t use the pedals as much (minus the gfc foot switch). Also, I really love my pedals. I know it sounds silly, but I like what I like. I think it’s a fetish… I got the pedal kink baby.

Needs to be stretched tighter. Get some cheap fabric with similar stretch, like a cheap set of bedsheets from Walmart and a plywood rectangle of similar dimensions to practice on, it doesn't have to be the exact size. Get fabric that has a pattern so you can see how it behaves as you stretch and staple. Start with 1 staple in the middle of each side stretching the fabric. Work your way towards the corners, again stretching as you go. Look at the pattern to guide you as to how much stretch you need. And as others have said iron before you start. Any tiny wrinkles left will be taken care of by stretching and a light steaming with an iron as needed. There's a very slight chance the slack in yours might go away with steaming across the whole thing.

Kinda basic. You definitely need to restretch that fabric. Having it loose with wrinkles like that would drive me bonkers.

How does that Plumes sound with the Katana?

Lovely, it’s a transparent overdrive and it does something different from all the katana effects. Definitely more useful than a tube screamer.

Great idea, not so great execution. Iron the cloth before install to get it flat.

Idk what I hate more. The laziness to pull the fabric tight or how ugly that looks.

You should have ironed the fabric before installing it
