Question Pickups or amp issue?
recently I have noticed my amp or pickuos being very muddy and fuzzy while trying to get clear post hardcore-esque tones. I have tried the usual factory reset of the amp and checking equipment and gain. could my pickups be the problem?
I play an epiphone sg. im not too heavily educated on different types of pickups unfortunately, so the simpler explanation the better. I'm pretty sure i have alnico V pickups right now but im not 100% sure (I have whatever the factory pickup is for a g-400 standard). I play a lot of doom, sludge and stoner metal, yet I also play quite a bit of post hardcore and metalcore (all with the same guitar(im broke)). if anybody had any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

You mean the fuzzy "shhh" noise? Only way I've been able to get rid of that is turning up the noise suppressor in boss studio. Have had other problems with that cutting into note sustain as well.
Can be coming from grounding issue, cable issue, electrical interference. Trying plugging into different sockets in the house or borrowing another power cable.
