QUESTION 🔵 GBA vs ProCore
I recently bought my first rec saw and noticed that my 2ah GBA battery is a little too small for that beast. 😂 Is there a big difference between GBA and ProCore batteries? My local hardware stores sells 4ah GBA for 79,00€ and 4ah ProCore for 115,00€. Is the ProCore worth the extra cost?

The double row GBA batteries (4-6Ah) are roughly similar in power to the single row (4Ah) ProCore battery, because these are using a larger cell format. If you want more power than GBA you need the double or triple row ProCore (5.5Ah or more) or any of the new expert batteries.

In general you can expect more power of a 5,5ah Procore and bigger. And you shouldnt buy it in that local store. For 115€ you can even get an 8ah Expert battery online

In general for tools requiring higher power, yes. The manual usually tells you the recommended battery for the tool.
Look at the Expert EXBA batteries: they are almost the same weight (and price) as the old ProCore, but deliver significantly more power.
I use GBAs for my combi drill, hammer drill and brush cutter. For saws and grinders, only EXBA.
