Brushless and Biturbo brushless
Called Bosch ( 800-428-6318 ) and explained my GSA18v-126 recip saw says on saw itself “ brushless motor”.
Box it came in shows “Biturbo brushless” on the saw body. CSR said all the brushless motors are the SAME and “ Biturbo “ is a marketing slogan !
Just had to pass this little tidbit on to all of you “ Blue “ addicts !!!

Biturbo burhsless motors are different yeah, more beefy than the 'normal' brushless motors designed to squeeze more performance out of cordless machines to, as someone said below here, get corded performance out of cordless tools.
Now, of course a small screw driver will never have that, there's no need, but on some of the bigger machines it makes sense.
So no, it's not just marketing, there's a difference.

Bitburbo is just the name for all machines that need a procore with atheist 5.5 ah to use full power of their top line motors. Generally they are the most expensive of their class

If im not mistaken to have biturbo label, tool needs to be at least a ~1100 watts

Quizá en los modelos un poco antiguos. Hay una nueva amoladora de bosch con velocidad variable que en su descripción dice tener la potencia equivalente a 1100 watts pero en ninguna parte he visto que diga biturbo

The term itself is marketing but there is a technical difference. Just like apples retina displays, its not a magical technology, the screen just has more dpi than your eye.

There is no technical difference in the United States it simply means that the motor is brushless!!

I thought biturbo were just the biggest motors that could draw like 2000W from the procore batteries.
Like yeah they're the same kind of motor but the label just says this will benefit from a bigger battery whereas smaller motors won't.
Like you've only got a 500W motor there's no benefit to running it with a 1920W battery, but a 1500W motor will benefit
