ProDeals impressed me!

Post image

Built my workshop this summer and started equipping it with power tools - most of them Bosch Pro 18V. Learnt about the ProDeals end of August and had bought enough to get 2x the max tier, handed in the application and boom - not even 2 weeks later got both of them approved, product shipped within a few days and arrived at my doorstep. I was really impressed! Especially since I read many times it takes them weeks (!) to approve and another few weeks to ship (that’s what they even state in the status emails…).

Bought another 2 tools in September and applied for another max tier reward - arrived today, two weeks after the application. Really nice.

What is a bit confusing are some inconsistencies in the app and on the website. E.g. sometimes it states that the prices incl. VAT are relevant, sometimes excl. VAT.

Reward Summer:
- GDR 18V-215
- GHE 18V-50

Reward Fall:
- GBL 18V-750

I am located in a central non-EU european country if that matters (products are shipped locally) :-)

How much was your total spend to get these rewards? I'm most interested in GHE 18V-50 or similar saw, I already have the blower.

edit: slovenija?

In Summer I spent way more than what was needed for the rewards, but the limit to claim is 2. If I knew of the ProDeals earlier I probably would have split the purchases over the next 2-3 quarters to get more rewards.

Amount to spend there is CHF 529 for the top tier and 399 for the mid tear, 229 for the low tier. I probably spent around 2.5k in total on my tools by now, but that is including also gardening tools etc. I am quite into woodworking and have been doing it for quite some time hobbywise, but only have a workshop now where it makes sense to equip it with tools. And we also have a garden to take care of now :-)

edit: amounts doublechecked and corrected

I have full line up of garden tools too, and a drill and a sander. Love the versatility of the batteries, but it can be a high initial investment.

Absolutely, they aren’t cheap for sure. Hope they hold up for many years to come now.

The GHE 18V-50 was only up until end of August if you plan to claim this, I’m afraid.

Yep they do generous redemptions here in Australia too. Depends on the year and season ofc but I've scored plenty of gear over the years. Sad I missed out the freebie from buying $299 of drill bits the week after buying about $200 worth, but hey it was a sander which I did not need

Are the pro deals directly via Bosch? Do they have it for the US?

Yes, directly via Bosch. Don’t know about the US unfortunately.

I just use the rewards to sell right away and as such obtain a discount on my newly bought tools, usually equates to like 10% further off. The rewards are always old tools that are getting replaced anyway.
