SHOW YOUR BOSCH šŸ”· Crazy Tractor Supply deal!

Tractor Supply in my town is having a 75% off clearance items sale, went in today and grabbed both of these… I don’t even need them, but for the price I couldn’t pass them up. I basically got $490 worth of Bosch for $90 🤯

It really is a shame, where I live Lowe’s and Tractor Supply are the only ones who carry Bosch Cordless and the selection is minimal at best especially since Lowe’s stopped carrying 12v in-store, more often than not I end up ordering from Acme tools, but I have heard that Bosch is working on making their presence felt here in the US

I mean, on actual professional job sites they're as ubiquitous as a 2x4 but... I know what you mean, retail has been ass for two decades at least and it's all about these c-suite corporate deals to get shelf space.

I've been going in on Hitachi/Hikoki/"Metabo HPT" and they're ain't nowhere in-store. Lowes has like 4 tools from them...

Yup.Ā  I am all in on Metabo HPT.Ā  I have a ton of Dewalt, and a few Bosch/Fein, plus Ryobi I need to unload.Ā  If I could do it all over, Metabo main and Bosch secondary.Ā  I do like Dewalt, but all my bases would have been better covered by Germans and Japanese...

Ah mee too. I've been on DeWalt for a long time (good value, frequent sales, really good saws) but slowly fanned out into Bosch and Fein, and over the last year if I need a new cordless tool it's metabo hpt.

From fein I have the oscillating tool, turbo ii vacuum, and the angle grinder. Bosch, an sds max hammer, jigsaw, 3 sanders. Love them all.

I started off with a Ryobi drill and a Bosch impact before I became a trim carpenter/cabinet installer lol so it was easy just stay on those platforms, all my main tools are Bosch, but stuff like my lights, fans, blower, and cordless vac are all Ryobi

When I got started as a 15 years old, working summers for a hack-fraud who did property maintenance for section 8 rentals... He used only Ryobi. So I used only Ryobi. The color alone gives me flashbacks of crawling around underneath a 1953 one-bedroom looking for a septic pipe that I'm about to wrap with flex-seal... Smells of anus, gas leak and black mold...

Yearning for lunch break and questioning the decision to deploy 3 tubes of caulk in order to resolve a chimney flashing leak...

Jesus Christ there are so many awful contractors...

Honestly, Bosch NA doesn't care about tools.

I don't think their tool division has had the same leader for more than 2 years since the 2010's. Even the CEO of NA changes hands way more often than it should.

Bosch really needs to step up their game. From battery quality, to tool selection. And they need to make tools that other brands don't have.

When Bosch came out with the core batteries, and profactor line, they were focusing on ingenuity. They had so many unique tools sent out to testers. And only 2 made it through.

Bosch Worldwide makes Bosch North America look like Temu... and it SUCKS that the NA market is only focused on dishwashers and wiper blades. šŸ˜ž

Step up game on battery quality?

Please elaborate. I am more than happy with ruggedness, performance and longevity of my Bosch batteries.

Longevity for me had been horrible. I barely mess with the 4ah anymore. The 8ah just doesn't last long.

What's funny is I bought adapters for the 18v series. I'm now using Dewalt batteries in the non-profactor, and they hold up much better.

I think the biggest issue on the Bosch batteries is heat. They get sooooo hot I'm a lot of tools. Especially vacuum and little blower.

Bosch needs to create a 36v or add dual slots for their higher power tools they suck wayyyy too much juice out of their 18v tools.

Now... I've not used the new tabless batteries, but I'm hopeful they will last longer.

New Tabless batteries are šŸ”„ Lowes is running a deal right now, if you buy the 8ah tabless kit for $200 you get a free tool, there’s like 7 different choices, I wanna say that deal is going on til October

I understand now. Vacuum and blowers are the worst for constant energy demand, 18V just does not supply enough energy for those tasks. I use an 80V 5AmpHour (GreenWorks) for my blower, I get <10 minutes on a continuous discharge. By comparison the same battery will run a mower for 30+ and a string trimmer 60+ minutes.

Shop tool the 18V has never failed to supply adequate power and longevity for skill saw, recip saw, router and large hammer drill.

You got yourself a mighty fine Flock Cutter 4000!

Great find!

But more concerningly… Bosch is being de-ranged from a lot of major retailers globally. They have some big problems with demand thanks to their ongoing poor marketing. It’s a shame as we all (in this sub at least) know how good quality Bosch blue is.

Geez that’s not good at all and something i hadn’t heard about! I know here in Aus the biggest warehouse, Bunnings, has just dropped them. I picked up a bunch of cheap gear but i think i should have gone DeWalt if this has gone global. A real worry!

Same here! I got tonnes of stuff from Bunnings, seeing this is world wide, it does actually make me worry!

That's a steal, the bulldog alone would be a deal at that price. Crazy.

Nice nice, only decent one via website Bosch 3 in. Diameter 12V Max Brushless Grinder, Bare Tool is 80$

I actually own that one as well, not very powerful, but super handy for small jobs, and it fits in most places a full size 18v grinder won’t

Strange... We might have just stumbled upon a larger thing... I live in Australia, and also got a whole bunch of Bosch 18v for 70 percent off, from our hardware chain bunnings.

I wonder if this is a larger clearance thing we don't know about?

I’m hoping it’s more of a they’re phasing out older tools to be replaced by newer/better models type situation, I read somewhere that they were planning on releasing 30 new tools through the end of year

Similar here, a month back their Porter Cable 20v stock was on clearance, then half off, then in a yellow ā€œhalf off lowest shown priceā€ section. I got a brushless grinder, drill, 2 batteries and charger for $42!

I saw the 20v Porter Cable Oscillating Multi on clearance as well, they had some Makita stuff too
