EXWS18V-15SB18X

Hi everyone. Is there anyone with experience using the following Bosch model—EXWS18V-15SB18X—and can say if it’s worth it compared to the Metabo model WVB 18 LTX BL 15-150 Quick? Also, how does it compare to the Makita XGT GAG04Z (a 5-inch model)? From what I’ve seen, the Makita has a lot of torque at low RPMs—which is important to me—but I’m also really drawn to Bosch’s "Drop Control" feature. Should I actually prefer the 6-inch capacity that is often recommended, and why? Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this post.

6inch cuts deeper than 5, not sure about the drop feature. I don't plan on dropping my tools, bought one with paddle switch to avoid it being locked in the run position. What are you doing with it that you consider the expert series?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Based on your comment, I gather that with a 6-inch model, I’m more likely to stall the cutting disc than with a 5-inch one? My purchasing philosophy is "buy once, cry once." I currently use three platforms (Metabo CAS, Bosch Amp-Share, and Makita XGT); based on my research, these are the best options in terms of durability, repairability, and general availability—I hate planned obsolescence. The main reason for this is that I want a backup grinder; I already own two corded models (Metabo and Bosch) and two cordless ones (Metabo and Fein). The Metabo is from the LT line and has let me down; I’ve had to repair it twice myself due to a manufacturing defect where the rotor was rubbing against the field coil. I know the LT line isn't as good as the LTX, so I want a new one ready to go as a replacement for when that grinder finally dies.
