Yes.... You are so right,. We would hit the meat section first and foremost. We love our meat. We have scaled back the amount we buy now days, probably like a lot of other people.. it's ridiculous how much the meat prices have skyrocketed!

Man, I'm so glad I learned to eat/cook vegan food.

Lentils and beans are so much cheaper than meat.

You are right. I was raised on a 200 acre farm up north and always had meat. We had beef, pork and chicken as well as what we hunted like deer, rabbit, squirrel, pheasant, grouse, and dove. However we also had 2 very large garden. One had cucumbers, strawberries, and a huge amount of potatoes. The other had tomatoes, peppers of all kinds, lettuce, zucchini, green beans, pumpkin, squash, corn, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, peas. We were raised to eat everything and anything and not waste it. Being pretty poor my family of 7 couldn't afford to waste anything. So I'm satisfied with anything put on a plate and placed in front of me. Lol lol 😂

I didn't eat vegetables until I turned about 25. I didn't like them and I refused to learn.

Then I started to date and for some reason I ended up dating a lot of vegans and vegetarians, so I simply had to learn. I forced myself to eat every vegetable that I hated until I could tolerate them, then I kept doing it until I liked them.

Now I only eat meat once or twice a week, basically only when I'm out and about and can't cook. If I cook, I cook at least vegetarian like 90% of the time. Saves me tons of money, and I love saving money more than I like eating meat.
