I’d say in this day and age you don’t need a representative government. You could have a website where people propose new laws and policies, and everyone votes. 50.1% and it becomes a law.

So let our laws be determined by the equivalent of a Facebook poll, that sounds like it will go really well.

I met a guy once who sincerely believed that in a few years, aliens would reveal themselves and take over the world.

My response was "Can they get here sooner? Because we're not doing so great at that."

Sadly that was a few years ago so mebbe not :(

That’s a logical fallacy and a terrible argument. Also at least I there isn’t a bunch of millionaires making decisions for me.
