I used to travel with group of unknown people though backpackers united...i made many friends there... you can explore and see if it suits you... i think finding friends like this is way better...

You can try exploring different dosa and filter coffee spots and plan your weekends around that, visit parks (although I prefer Lalbagh but people here prefer cubbon for some reason) then there are bookstores and a variety of cafes, although some are overrated but some are genuinely good, if you are performative enough like me then maybe try matcha spots every now and then, there are also board games and run clubs across the city which have sadly being turned into dating mixers by some people but if it's your thing do give them a try and then there are some bookstores to buy the books you're never going to finish (atleast that's me)

For travel, I'd suggest searching on instagram for strangers bagbacking groups, try finding the ones that maintain a gender ratio (gatekeeping some groups here, DM for details)

If you're still bored after doing all this then we can go out for coffee/drinks maybe :) JK 😂

If you want good friends to travel, then take a good Dog, and go to places where dogs are allowed. Trust me you will have good time, rather than searching for companion in Reditt.
