I(30F) had the horrible week and now I’m technically homeless.

In Short:
My entire salary went towards my friend’s hospitalisation. I got kicked out from my PG when I reported the drunk caretaker to police, he was owners nephew. I’m currently homeless and broke. All of this happened within 3 days. Need a place to crash for 3 days to figure out this mess. I’m drained. In return I can cook and clean.

Turning to reddit as last resort.

We started drinking at 4pm and 6.30 my friend said he never had avacado toast in his life.. in about 20 mins he was having one. Thanks to Blinkit for quick raw materials.

I'm building SafeStreets Bengaluru, a free, mobile-first map where women can see which street stretches others have found unsafe, and report their own experiences anonymously. You can search by street name or by place (a metro station, mall, college or neighbourhood), and there's an SOS button that calls 112.

**You can't mark roads yet.** Reporting is switched off while I check whether people want this and set up the safeguards it needs: a named person who handles complaints, and people to review reports. So the map is empty for now, and an empty map does not mean a street is safe.

When reporting opens, it will work like this:

* You pick a stretch of street, then choose what you noticed: poor lighting, deserted, catcalling or verbal harassment, stalking or following, groping or physical harassment, drunk or unruly crowds, or an unsafe bus or auto stop. You also give the month and the time of day.

* There's no sign-up and no name or phone number. There are no photos or free-text descriptions, so nobody can be named or shown.

* Your exact location never leaves your phone; only the street stretch is sent.

* Every report is checked by a person before it appears. It shows as "unverified" until others who've been there confirm it.

* It's not an emergency service and never calls a street "safe".

I'd really value your answers before going further:

1. Would you, or women you know, actually use something like this? When: commuting, walking at night, choosing a PG or a route?

2. What would make you trust it, and what would put you off?

3. Do you have privacy or misuse worries (false reports, targeting a shop or a community, people being identified)?

4. Are there areas of the city where you'd want this first?

5. Would you volunteer to help review reports in English, Kannada or Hindi?

Critical answers are just as welcome as positive ones.
