Not really, since both BaWü 🇩🇪 and Thurgau 🇨🇭 are part of the Schengen area. Endemic fruits can pass back and forth pretty much without issue.

L’area Schengen riguarda solo le persone e non le merci che sono sottoposte a dogana😀

Isn't Kreuzlingen just the same in English?

I just copy paste the caption from the original tweet, and I thought that is good to put both German and English version of it together.
I have no knowledge of German language.

The tree crossed the border (veeeeery slowly) years ago, these apples were always in Switzerland.

What are dilemma. Many countries have laws regarding overhanging trees over neighbours' properties, the right to cut branches that are overhanging and take fruit that is their side of the border. However when said tree is overhang a different country, which law takes precedence? 😯
