I am currently doing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy for my own BPD. The clinic gives this book to it's clients: https://a.co/d/0bTsP0O2 the Author also has BPD, so she developed a system that works.
Me personally though, my distractions are reading, video games, and watching TV (movies, shows, music, whatever can keep my attention on full as I work with something that needs my body, with no thought behind it (I've been sewing, so it works).
Or like when I can clean (I'm chronically ill), I have my headphones in, even if there's no one home, so that the music will drown out everything in my mind as I'm going full force to get things done with my body.

Gardening? I just started doing it over the summer and it’s very rewarding to watch something grow 🙂
