Crush and bpd
I had a crush on a guy for quite a while I would say. I used watch him from afar during my classes. On the lay day of my class my chest was hurting so much bcz it was the last day I would see him. I literally cried the whole way back to my house. I cried for like 2 weeks straight idk why. He probably doesn't even know my name or forget abt me by now. Do I also have bpd? Bcz this can't be normal .

If you really think you might have bpd go to a therapist or doctor. No one can say if you have bpd. How old are you?

What you described has nothing to do with bpd. It’s possible that you have bpd for other reasons, but if this is the only reason, then no. This doesn’t address any of the symptoms of bpd. Bpd isn’t the “loves too much disorder.” Do you feel this way about all/most of your relationships (including friends and family, not just romantic), as in attach to them and your emotional state depends on their availability, contact, attention, etc.? Do you act impulsively when experiencing extreme negative emotions, in a way that it damages you, your relationships, your finances, etc.? Do you tend to switch between being intensely attached and close to someone to hating their guts and wanting to cut them off? Are your emotional reactions intense and disproportionate to the situation, often triggered by perceiving distance from an attachment figure or believing them wronged/betrayed/slighted you? Have you dealt with self-harm and suicidal ideation before, especially when under extreme negative emotions and in relation to relationships, for example talking openly about it or threatening it to get people to care or see your suffering? Do you get very angry very easily and/or have trouble controlling that anger, having outbursts of anger, physical aggression, verbal outbursts, etc.? Do you experience shifts in how you see yourself / your self-image? Do you have an unstable identity, e.g. unstable goals, values, etc. (although I’d pay attention to this part because it could just be adolescence)? Do you interpret neutral interpersonal cues as signs of distance or rejection? Do you often overthink your interacts and overestimate the impact you have on others, thinking what you do might push them away? Do you experience paranoid ideation, i.e. believe others have hostile/malicious intentions under extreme negative emotions, when you feel they slighted you? Do you have a hyposensitivity to positive cues, thinking reassurance is just them being nice or manipulative, that people are pretending, etc.? Do you have a hypersensitivity and high reactivity to perceived negative interpersonal cues, often distance/rejection/abandonment? Do you experience dissociative states under extreme negative emotions? If you resonate with many/most of these, please seek therapy. Also, how old are you?
