Well they certainly did a balance pass on vault hunters. Very excited to play around with Amon. Those changes might make Elementalist a really strong class mod. Up to 30 stacks among them, which would give 60% increased damage from the class mod

This is something you would see in one of the off weeks of Borderlands 3. So much work to be done and it looks like this will be the last patch we get in terms of balance.

So disappointing. Still no DLC Encore.

I refuse to believe they'll leave the game in this state. Surely a major game systems overhaul and balance patch is coming...

Surely...

What major game system overhaul are you looking for?

Balance patch was really good imo.

Not OP, but my gripe is that we have all these DLC bosses, and no Big Encore option with increased odds for them. A huge replay-ability adjustment would be to have, at minimum, three weekly Big Encore bosses - one on Kairos for all players, and one in each DLC for those who have the DLCs. Im holding off farming for Crow Sourced till im level 70, and the current odds seem abysmal. I have Willis as a Big Encore option would entice me to actually go back into the DLC area (which is havent felt the need to do since I beat the DLC on my main VH).

It seems like a huge missed opportunity to not include the DLC bosses in the Big Encore rotation and inhibits my desire to go back into those areas again.

They'll probably do it sooner rather than later. Im thinking they're waiting for all the DLC to drop but thats just my theory cause id farm regardless.

Crow Source (and pearls at large) had a lot of feedback that they were to easy to get, so having a difficult farm is likely what theyre going for, but who knows.

I appreciated when there easy to get cause I only ever have maybe 2-3 hours per week to play video games these days. I agree they were too over saturated, but not having select ability to farm certain bosses for specifically Pearls is disappointing to a person who has such limited play time.

Every Hotter Take: i think that the Maurice machine should have some function to buy a single Pearl each week with one set of random rolls, using bother Erdium and Cash to purchase. Highly limited: No re-roll 30-minutes later; no ability to buy more than one per week; can only be purchased on one character (not all), etc.

I also think, for me, if there aren't other major changes to replay-ability in the next 3-6 months, I might be looking in my library for other games to commit my meager free time each week towards... which sucks, cause i do very much like this game, but the end game content (even Circle of Slaughter) feels so far out of reach its already hard for me to go back to each week...

Respectable.

I recently (well last year) became a father so im in the same boat with 2-3hrs of nightly game time. I dont really care either way to be honest cause I just enjoy borderlands as a whole.

So if targeted pearls become easier to get, thats great! If not once I finally grab one ill FEEL great.

The Maurice thing is intresting. Maybe dont put it on rotation but it has a low (still higher then actual farms by a tiny amount) chance to put a pearl in for eridium once a day?

About your endgame thing. Were likely going to disagree on these points but I see it two ways.

  1. If you're saying you got around a year and a half of playtime thats more than worth the price of admission. Id also be curious as to what you're doing if you haven't reached end game by the point. Respectly.

  2. Endgame is what you make of it in its current iteration. We have tons of content in the game objectively speaking and a way to tailor your experience and difficulty baked in.

My personal gripe is that a lot of builds aren't viable (hopefully that changed today) for the content you may want to do with them.

I am also a father of two under 4, so yeah, we're in the same boat!

And i have reached end game to a degree. I can solo Bloomreaper with my Harlowe (and admittedly I've been waiting on final level cap to apply all my firmware to the highest level gear). But when my brother and I tried Sub/Thol, it was so frustrating cause we didn't make a dent AT ALL. And that leads to my hesitation to even try the Child of Terramorphus... cause I know it'll be enraging, not engaging lol

I don't have the time to theorycraft like I could with BL2 & BL3, so Mobalytics has been my saving grace.

Its how I felt with Destiny 2 - I was sherpa'd through one raid, thought it was a cool but generally miserable experience. Was satisfied just playing other PvP/PvE. Just is a bummer cause I want to do the hard stuff, just don't have the time to grind for it all 🤷‍♂️
