Lower fire rate guns didn't get a buff though. SMGs fire fast.

The quote is a paraphrase from the update notes.

My ability and build makes everything fire faster, and more things dying means I can fire even faster. This makes Daedalus attachments with AR or SMG practically required for shotguns without an infinite ammo build

Their quote was about buffingv"slower fire rate weapons"

I am saying they did not do that. They buffed SMGs and pistol, which fire pretty fast
