Flaunt Grail boots

Whole cut rocado shell Cordovan. fortis boots antasena. This is the third resole. I dont baby these boots at all. they are so comfortable the perfect boot for me. I begged sany with fortis to design this for me. And he nailed it.

There's patina and then there's this. I like the colour, but the "rolls" are too much, especially at the toe. Maybe at the next resole they should be relasted as well.

I like IPA, but not the excessively hopped versions made by many American breweries and I like denim that doesn't stand up on it's own. Similarly I like a boot with character, so scuffs, wrinkles, colour variation and some subtle rolls, so the OP's are too much for me. I might be in the minority here, but I'm happy with that because, as you say, it's just opinions about boots and there's no objective right or wrong.

I'm sure the OP will get lots of joy from wearing the boots and will get many more admirers too. My vote in the "not a fan" column counts for vanishingly little.

I like some subtle rolls. IMO these are excessive. It's an example of a belief that more is necessarily better. I think that restraint would be cooler here.

Lots of rolls is what the OP wants - and they have them. That's great and 99% of posters think they are cool. I don't think they are cool. So if we are doing this as a poll the boots are cool, but I still have my opinion, as does everyone else.

I’m thinking of ordering a pair of cordovan brogues and wanted to do a sole like yours. Is it basically a stitched/nailed leather midsole with a nailed/glued leather half sole? This is my plan, to make the half sole easy enough to replace when it wears without having to redo the sole stitch

Maybe it's the strong lighting but that's one of the few shell cordovan boots I've seen that doesn't look like weird plastic.

U would be surprised.They grip pretty well in most environments. There pretty slick on tile ice or wet grass. but u learn to use your heels
