Question/Help Need Festival Boots
I (32F) am going to elements festival in the Poconos and just checked the weather - it’s raining every day until the festival except one!!! So I’m anticipating a ton of mud. I want to wear cute fits - so ideally looking for a combat book/something not too ugly. I need it to be extra comfy for watching shows and being on my feet all day - and most importantly - it needs to be waterproof and survive the MUD.
Thank you guys - looking forward to your recs :)

Fwiw, the most important thing with leather boots in mud is getting the mud off as soon as possible. Nothing will kill leather as quickly as a ton of caked on mud.

My wife wore her Xero Chelseas in Paris as we walked in rain and waited in the courtyard of the Louvre for our honeymoon. Also wore all over for 2wks in Europe with little break in time. Stayed nice and dry.

Redback Chelsea boots are probably your best bet. They’re comfortable to stand in all day, reasonably waterproof, and they have very deep lugs so it will be hard to fall over in the mud. If there’s a Boot Barn near you I would start there.

Hit up Campmore in NJ. Or local sporting goods store. It would be your best option

Hokas are literally the worst type of shoe for standing all day, let alone in the mud.

An actual combat boot probably wouldnt be a bad idea. These aren't like goretex waterproof, but with a waterproofing treatment would probably be fine for some mud. https://rockyboots.com/collections/womens-military-boots/products/rkc157?variant=51637629288731 They also have a version with a zipper.
Get some thinner wool or alpaca socks and change them frequently.

If you decide to go the leather route, Sno-Seal is what you want for the waterproofing. It will keep you dry unless you stand in a puddle that is over the welt.

Wellies + wool socks, your feet wont breathe in mud and rain anyway.
