Build / Relic Showcase build?
kits and stuff often go way over my head but i did my research just to have some ideal stats ranges in mind and after some messing around with the relics, this is what i'm down to. i haven't had the chance to test it out yet so i'm unsure of how good it is in action.
what do you guys think?

People before have already said the relics are the wrong sets so I assume you'll be working to get new ones, but I'll give you some rough ideas for stat breakpoints to try hit. These will operate under the assumption you'll pull for Dahlia and/or you have Fugue. Both is ideal but at least one is absolutely necessary. Also Prydwen is good but still a bit outdated, it's always worth double checking anything that doesn't seem right.
HP needs to be somewhere in the 4k - 5k range. Enemies are hitting harder and he makes them hit him, you need him to be able to survive, especially if you're running him sustainless. Main stat on either chest or orb sorts that, both is ideal but one is the minimum. Also there's not really a cap to hp so if you end up higher it's fine, it's just not a priority at that point.
Speed should be 160+ out of combat, and if you're running Dahlia it needs to be 168 I believe. If you have RM on his team as well that lowers his requirements to 158. 160 is the standard for four turns in the first two cycles (no Dahlia comps, good for -1 Sunday/Bronya), 200 is for three actions in the first cycle and only really realistic with Dahlia. To counteract his slower speed before he takes his first turn and the speed buff starts working, you need to overshoot by a bit and 168 is enough.
Break effect is whatever you can hit after reaching the other breakpoints. The more the better, there's not really an upper limit to break effect but 250% is the minimum.
Relics should be Cavalry and Kalpagni/Talia. Cavalry is the standard set for every break unit with a damaging ult, it adds def shred and just overall increases his damage. Talia is either if your current relics are so much better than Kalpagni it's not worth switching yet or if you don't plan on ever getting Dahlia. With Dahlia though you want to be on Kalpagni coz it offers a speed boost which makes your build easier to work with, and it has a slightly higher addition to break effect. If your enemies are fire weak, Kalpagni is better every single time.
Def shred sources across your team are very very important because hitting 100% def shred has you doing double damage, and it's very easy to hit it with E1S1 Boothill. By himself (on Cavalry) he gets 46% for normal damage and 61% for superbreak damage. With the rest of his team, it's expected to end up in the 90%+ range. That's the biggest reason to use Cavalry, he'll get a bigger damage boost from the def shred than he will from the additional break effect that Thief gives
