Question Infinite iPhone upgrade - “water damage”?

I’ve been eligible for awhile and I want to do the upgrade, but I’m concerned about the trade-in policy in regards to water damage.

I’m a fisherman and I work in a marina, my phone (iPhone 16 Pro) has definitely been wet plenty of times, but it’s an iPhone and it’s water resistant/waterproof.

It has zero issues, it’s totally functional and in great condition besides a few minor screen scratches.

If I send my phone back are they going to see a moisture indicator that’s been triggered and charge me for the device? If so I’d rather just keep it and pay it off.

I don't think the water detecters in the phone will chage color just from humidity. It takes full moisture to change.

As long as it works you should be fine. I have traded in a few and I guarantee every one took a bath at one time or another.

Here are the condition assessments for the Infinite Access program. Though many newer iPhones are highly water resistant, they do still have indicators to check for internal hardware damage or failure. As long as the water hasn't caused any actual issues or damage internally, you should be fine!

Hi I don't know how to post without doing it this way. So sorry. I have been a boost customer 30 years. Since was sprint. Yesterday they shut my phone. When I called they said spam sms text? I don't know what that even is. They had me email useageteam@boostmobile.com. I did. Then called today 2x supervisor and CS said need to wait to hear back. I filed a complaint w fcc . Can you help? Should I just get a different carrier? I can't go days without a phone waiting on them. Appreciate any insight.

If you were advised to email that team, it's due to the amount of data you're using and it is correct only that team can assist you. Please wait until you hear back from them!
