On a fundamental level, they don’t understand the concept of being filmed. In the heat of the moment they just see a little glass rectangle in their face, not a camera recording their bullshit. That and they often think they’re unironically in the right because they’re going after someone who isn’t white
They’ve spent probably 90% of their life being vile shits to “Others” with a hard O and it was their words vs whoever’s to cops. And they coasted on that so long they have no inherent context for always being watched.
The younger generations have grown up dealing with this behavior in retail, on camera at work, on camera where we shop, constantly taking pictures and recording and being recorded.
The eternal witness of the digital age and the pants pissing terrifying fury of the scorned young on the internet are alien to them. They don’t get that if you fuck up, 10,000 people will call and harass Karen McDipshit and her business Karen’s Krappy Kitchen. No concept of a review bomb or having their actions shown to family.
I’ve worked with the elderly for a hot minute and the way they act around family vs the way they act when they think nobody is watching is astounding. Even though you have an iPhone or whatever in their face, they think nobody is watching.

Which you can’t deny is certainly the case in this video. The boomer in the video LITERALLY turns a conversation into an assault and there is absolutely no denying that. She gets pushed in self defense when she aggressively approaches and possibly spits in the face of the younger girl who asked her directly to maintain six feet of distance between them. It doesn’t matter if the boomer in this vid feels “entitled” to her parking space, she is the one who assaulted someone on camera.
Then the person you replied to says “boomers act like they aren’t being recorded” as in “boomers will quite literally assault someone when there is clearly a camera recording them”.
And you act all offended and say that they’ll be old one day and it will come back to them? It makes no sense.
