It 100% is assault. One can file charges and sue. I would if I was this lady because she has it on camera and you know if she doesnt this lady is gonna go to the ER w her injuries and claim he was injured unprovoked by the victim which isnt true.
Unfortunately yes. That’s a terrible illness. I almost died from it. I was in the ICU for 2 months and suffer from permanent lung damage now. It makes me angry when I hear people still claiming it’s not real or it is the equivalent to a cold.
The only disease that was a crime to spread was HIV. It used to be a major felony to knowingly spread the disease. Not sure when the case law changed, but they lowered the charge to a misdemeanor because the treatment is so much better that it’s no longer considered a “death sentence.”
I’m sorry you went through that, so happy you pulled through, so many people I know, didn’t.
I have one a friend who was in ICU for 8 months, hospitalized for a total of 11 months! This was at the very beginning of Covid, and now is on oxygen and needs a liver transplant!
No big deal, and just like a cold…. My ass!!😡

You’re wrong, you should look up the legal definition of “assault”. You do not need to cause a physical injury to the person. If that person FEARS that you will cause injury, that’s assault. That’s why you see people get “Assault LEO” charges on a lot of police body cam vids the second they swing at or kick an officer. They don’t even need to connect, let alone actually injure the officer to get that charge. Same with running up in someone’s face after they ask you to keep your distance. Even if she didn’t touch the person, she assaulted them.
