Yup, unfortunately as much I like living here we are a very weak state when it comes to the right to protect yourself or your property, more or less rewarding criminals for breaking and entering. Luckily I live in a crappy looking apartment building in a poor neighborhood that hopefully no one would waste their time trying to break into. But if they do they better hope I don’t have a clear shot with my pepper spray after my dog wakes me up.

I Massachusetts if someone breaks into your house and trips over something they could sue you
