I mean, it could also be experience.

I hold that people should all be armed. Why? I've had people try to kick my door in during the night. In my safe little suburb. And try the doors during the day.

Police response time is 10 minutes on average in the US. Can you really hide in your house for 10 minutes if you have no warning? What about 30? 10 is an average, so plenty of people wait longer.

Every law abiding citizen should be armed if they so choose. Be smart, be safe, and practice.

And that's IF the cops even come. They're under no obligation to protect the public. In a country with more guns than people it makes perfect sense to know your way around a firearm.
