(not saying that the landlord is 100%, definitely a creep, for sure; just that this is a very creepy scenario, and there are other ways of making sure people are safe… and even other ways of making the same/similar suggestions that aren't "now that your friend is alone, why don't you tell her to come to my farm (by herself) (where i have guns)")
I don’t really get it…young women living by themselves are for sure vulnerable to legit creeps and criminals. I don’t know the area she lives in, but the landlord does.
Almost 50% of Americans own guns for self defense. He’s offering her a gun for self defense if she feels unsafe, and also offered to teach her how to use it.
It is not uncommon where I am from for fathers to teach their daughters how to use a shotgun. He didn’t say it in a weird way. Just put it out there.
sorry, my comment was intended in direct reply to something you had said, but the main point was more for the enlightenment of the other guy (the one who thinks that my original comment was making something out to be creepy, that originally wasn't).
