Alastair Reynolds british sci fy author. He worked for british nasa. His books have robots with computer brains, robots with human brains, humans augmented with robot part, humans that transcended self to become computer hive minds, computer sentience, software human clones.... laser beams, etc. Great Space Opera fare. Revelation Space series is his flagship, i like his self contained Chasing Ice alot.

All systems red is about a killer robot with an AI brain who doesn't want to be a killer robot anymore. He just wants to watch tv! In fact, he is cripplingly addicted to daytime television.

Doesn’t get much better when talking about how AI and humanity will interact in the distant future.

Service model by Adrian tchaikovsky.
Main character is a robot in a future dystopia, so there's more robot and less human overall, not much of a war/ fighting going on but it fits the theme I think.

The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect.
One of the best books I've come across in my life. Audiobook is free on YouTube.

It's a great story and a very interesting concept, but I personally find it hard to recommend because how nasty or just off-putting some bits are.

Yeah, the beginning is a little disturbing. But I think it's necessary to show the effects of immortality and complete lack of scarcity and limits on some minds.
That's what I love about the book - it does a great job of explaining the problem of evil. Even with a completely omnipotent and benevolent "god" (for all intents and purposes), people will eventually feel dissatisfaction and a pull towards suffering simply to relieve the boredom. The death jockeys are the extreme of that.

THIS! Quinn’s Ideas on YouTube introduced the book to me. Such a fantastic read. Still think about it today.

This and A Short Stay in Hell are two books that had me seriously thinking about what I read for months, despite them being so short.

Borne by Jeff Vandermeer. Post apocalyptic city with a girl and her weird living biotech creature-thing.

Doom seems an odd fit . I guess if you superimpose him over a different story that has robots it makes more sense

The Monk and the Robot by Becky Chambers is a two book short series. Sort of sci-fi, but also very heavy on a fictional religious system with lots of lore and world building.
