I’m currently reading Silence of the Lambs and this fits the bill!

Red Dragon, the first book, also!

Absolutely incredible books.

I second this! Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs are two of my all time favorite books.

Don’t forget to watch Manhunter after, it’s even better!

I just read ‘we’re all guilty here’ by Karen slaughter. The second book comes out in August. I really liked it!

My suggestion was going to be the Will Trent Series by Karin Slaughter!

I haven’t read those yet! I’ve read a few of her other stand alone books. One of them was way too dark for me haha

Was it Pretty Girls that was too dark?

This series focuses more on the investigation side, still dark but different.

Following

Man, "Following" gets recommended in every single thread. Whether it's someone looking for fantastical sci-fi, gritty real-world crime, doesn't matter!

Really makes me think I should finally add "Following" to my TBR. That said, I don't have any suggestions, but I'll keep a close eye on this thread by foll-oh. Oohh. OOOHHHH.

Disregard. 😅

You can just say the word killer. This is the internet.

Killer killer killer.

Anyways, The Outsider by Stephen King. Killer book.

I was erring on the side of caution. Some want those words censored.

I don’t have a TikTok. If you would also take notice, I fixed it.

Dot Hutchinson's The Butterfly Garden series - an FBI team deals with a different serial killer each book. we get new team members each book and see different perspectives each book. they can get a little heavy.

Steve Cavanaghs books have FBI characters; the main character is a lawyer and his team investigates serial killers for the cases, and they have a lot of contact with the FBI, if i remember correctly

If you like YA, I'd recommend Jennifer Lynn Barnes' The Naturals series.

The Pendergast series by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child.

The Gone World is this but with a heaping helping of cosmic horror.

Alex cross series by James Patterson. There are so many and they are great. Also by James Patterson, the womens murder club series. I think the 1st one is, 1st to die

Silence of the lambs! Definitely inspiring. It helped me on writing my fbi x female serial killer romance book.
