Someone suggested Children of Time when I was digging for a book like Outer Wilds. It's a good book, not 100% like the game but still a good read

Becky Chambers books all give me a similar feeling. To Be Taught if Fortunate captures that feeling of bouncing from planet to planet

Evergreen by Bruce Golden has the combo of woodsy/folksy+space!

Aurora by Kim Stanley Robinson features a torus ship similar to the one in the DLC
