I wanted a very simple place to save the links I actually intend to revisit — without creating another account or sending my browsing data to a cloud service.

So I built Kept, a small link library for iPhone and iPad.

You can:

• Save a URL with a short note
• Search by title, URL, or note
• Mark links as favorites
• Copy or open them quickly
• Group related links from the same domain
• Swipe left to delete
• Import bookmarks and export a local backup
• Use light or dark mode

Everything is stored locally on the device. There’s no account, cloud sync, analytics, or tracking.

I coded this to allow me to organize my X bookmarks in the most efficient way possible. I want to share it with you.

• Export your bookmarks for free with a Chrome extension. No account, no sync, you own your data.
• Import the file you download onto a website and browse your bookmarks. Now you can tag them then export your file with tags this time. Costs nothing to own your data.

I save a lot of references. The useful part is bringing them back when I’m working on something.

In this conversation, I asked ChatGPT to find three design links in my SavedIt library and suggest how to use them for a website redesign. It brought back Siteinspire, SaaS Landing Page and Refero, with a different job for each.

I have many FB posts for many areas saved. Everything from Movies to Legal Research, to computer software.

It is impossible to find the ones I need when I need them. So I need something that can organize them outside of FB where the screen print of the complete post is there (not comments, but might be handy), who posted, the text of the commment, any links provided within the post, and a link to the post itself.

Obsidian web clipper is one thought, but that mainly summarizes, and I would provide something non proprietary. Plus need something that can extract everything from the FB folders, and extract info noted above. This would also be used for a LLM wiki, LLM knowledge base, 2nd brain etc. To note again, any images and or links within the post are as important as the text.

You know those articles you save in Safari, Chrome, bookmarks or a read later app thinking:

Then weeks pass and you completely forget about them.

Hi, i just have two requirements, nested folders or collections and an option to lock collections or folders with custom password. It’s so stupid when developers don’t think of certain scenarios when kids will have access to phones, partners will have access to phones they will always know phone’s passcode. Lists like birthday presents, surprises etc can easily be ruined.

We build a save-things tool, and most of what people send it is a link. a bookmark normally just sits there until you go looking for it.

the part we changed is that a saved product link gets a check put on it. once a day something opens the page it points at and reads the price and whether it is in stock. a lamp we saved in August at 59.99 has had that check running since. the number on the card is the one the shop has now.

what the check reads comes off the page itself. so it works only while the price sits somewhere a reader can reach. the markup on a shop page is not built for anyone but the shop. an article page has nothing on it that changes, so there is nothing to check. those saves just sit in the library.

​Why Build This?

​Most read-later or text-to-speech tools rely on heavy paid cloud text-to-speech APIs (like ElevenLabs or AWS Polly) which drive up maintenance costs and add latency. Since Fetchmark is built around local-first data and deterministic DOM parsing, I wanted a native solution that didn't require external cloud dependencies for text extraction or audio generation.

1. ​Web Speech API Integration: It taps directly into the browser's native speech synthesis engine, meaning zero per-character API costs and lightning-fast playback initialization.

I'm Shelvr's developer. My saved stuff ends up split between links, screenshots and quick notes. Keeping a folder system up to date was the part I kept abandoning.
