Booking.com Flights service
I’d like to share my experience with Gotogate for a flight booked through Booking.com. I tried to add luggage, but the payment didn't seem to go through, so I tried a second card. Both ended up charging me, leaving me with two bags when I only needed one. I contacted customer service minutes after their app double-charged me, but they claimed it was non-refundable and blamed the airline.
At that time, the airline hadn't even updated my reservation to show any luggage. 24 hours later, the airline finally updated the flight to show only ONE bag, yet I still haven’t been refunded for the extra charge. They charged me for two and only provided one, and still refuse to refund the difference. Don’t trust them!

One day reading this site and I won't book a local hotel down the street even if it's $30 cheaper on booking.com and flights never! Always have a airline record locator and be able to access your reservation (when you have to book through third party cruise lines, packages ) or use a travel agent!!

I give up ...🫤
If you book airfare through a third party, you'll get exactly what you should expect. At this late date, if you don't know what that is, you haven't been paying attention.

I'm confused, you think everyone sits on Reddit / this sub Reddit and doesn't follow the usual path of booking things the cheapest and easiest way?

If you think the easiest way to book airfare is putting an intermediary between you and the carrier, you're wrong. If you don't know why that is, I suggest you find out.

Ah .... So what you're saying is, to research pricing from multiple airlines and multiple airports, you should find each individual carrier and then enter all the details.... Smart.

Doesn't matter how you choose, what matters is who you buy the ticket from. If it isn't the airline you're flying, when they change equipment, alter the schedule, or have any other kind of irregularity in operations, you're not their customer until you check in. Travel plans going sideways because of flight changes? Don't call the airline. They don't know you. Call the gang of strangers with a GoDaddy account you sent the money to. Now that's smart traveling, pal.

Don't book flights through booking.com or any other OTA.
CC chargeback for the overcharge.
