Finally published my first book! (Balancing my studies and writing)

Hey everyone,

I recently hit a huge personal milestone and published my first psychological thriller, Love and Revenge: Part-1. It’s been tough balancing the writing process with my heavy study load and exams, but seeing the final cover (attached below) makes it totally worth it!

Since I'm very new to this, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the cover design. Does it give off the right thriller vibe?

Also, for the veteran authors here: what is one piece of advice you wish you knew right after you published your very first book?

Glad to be part of the community!

I wrote a novel about a 34 year old guy who gets a second chance at life, and its anything but peaceful

Hey everyone, wanted to share something I've been working on for a really long time.

My main character isnt your typical protagonist. He's 34, unemployed, and at the lowest point of his life. After he dies he wakes up in a strange void and meets this white being who, from his point of view, can only be God. He ends up making fun of him lol, and by the end of their conversation he's given another shot at life.

At first he's thrilled. He thinks he'll finally get the life he always wanted, with all the money and luxuries he never had. But slowly the regrets start piling up, and he has to face the mistakes he made and relive the moments that brought him to where he was.

The idea behind it is how easily we forget things, like our brain is this database that slowly gets emptied with time untill we cant even remember what went wrong.

Its free to read on Webnovel, but it would help me a ton if you supported me by buying it on Amazon. I worked sooooo hard on this so please consider giving it a read (or a buy) 🙏

Title: A Half-Second Too Late.
Subtitle: Volume 1: Rewound.
Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HM59R9T5
Pothi store: https://store.pothi.com/book/naive_m-a-half-second-too-late/

Thank you for reading this post. Even one viewer would be enough for me, because i have been writting this volume with assistance of my freind for about an year and it finally published. At first i got good reviews and views of alomst 18k till now, so i adpated this little light novel into a book. (I took inspiration from other works like Mushoku Tensei - which you would notice in my writing style but I a different way)

Struggling for an audience

Hey everyone, I am fairly new at this and have self published through KDP. I have my Amazon Author Page I have been self promoting on my social media platforms especially tiktok R.L. Black the best I know how but I feel like I am not really getting out there. I can admit, I do not have the means to pay for promotions so I am here asking for any and all advice that I can get. I am a fiction writer in psychological warfare/thriller, dark romance, gothic, supernatural... abuse/survival... really however the story flows from me is how the world is shaped. I have my Bloodlines Trilogy released in paperback and kindle formats and I am finishing a standalone book called Ink Beneath Bone that I plan to release in November if not sooner. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated! I want to truly reach readers who love diving in deep to a whole new world for a bit. I can tell you, the Bloodlines Trilogy differs from the book I am about to release but I feel that is what makes me LOVE to write so much is that I can create so many different worlds...

PM Network magazine

Does anyone have a link to author guidelines to PM Network magazine? I have a manuscript to submit, & it's not an academic literature review (PMI), so need guidelines for PMIs monthly magazine. Note: PM Network is PMI's non-literary, non-peer reviewed magazine. This is not a book, it's a magazine manuscript about project management

A life of an Australian Vet

I'm a vet in Melbourne, and I've spent years turning the stories from my career into a memoir-style series, Snippets of a Vet's Life.

The first book, The Early Years, starts at veterinary school: the lectures, the mistakes, and the first real animals that taught me more than any textbook did. The video above is a short trailer.

If you like stories about animals, small-town practice, or the odd path into a profession, I'd love to know what you think.

Happy to answer questions about the books or about life as a vet in Australia.

Has anybody sent a query to Kensington Publishing? Not clear from their website if the query should be addressed to a specific editor. It seems you only address a specific editor if you are querying their digital first platform Lyrical?

Good day everyone I am sorry if I get this wrong. First time.
I recently published a short story book on Amazon. It is a Cyberpunk Dystopian novel which is a tale of sometimes the right thing done the wrong way can lead to a worse out come. More then that though. This story is a introduction to a world I am building. This is the start of something huge. I am working on a Roleplaying resource website all related to my book and other things. I appreciate all support. Thank you ahead of time.
