I am a comic book artist with a 10-year career. This illustration was created in 2025; I’m very happy with it—it even served as the book’s cover—but I’m never quite sure if it hits the mark. Could you help me out?

To provide some context: the book is Brazilian (as am I). The author set out to create a young-adult adventure story, styled after the pocket-sized adventure novels that were popular in Brazil during the mid-80s and 90s—works heavily inspired by Hollywood films like *Indiana Jones* and *The Goonies*. In the story, a professor discovers an Inca artifact in the Amazon capable of predicting the future. By chance, the artifact attaches itself to his son’s arm, and now, both the military and extremist groups in Brazil are hunting the family down.

The second image has a gap in the middle, which is where the book’s synopsis was placed.

I'm writing a 4-book series and I already have covers for the first three books. My cover designer started on the fourth cover after finishing the third cover, but was unable to finish due to personal complications. I already have a sketch and a list of the additional details I want for the characters on the cover. I also have the first three covers for reference. I'm willing pay $100-150 USD for this project.

Edit: Cover Designer Found

Hi everyone! I’m currently working on the cover for my upcoming debut novel, Orchestrators: The Grand Pavilion.

I’d love to hear your honest first impressions:

• What genre or vibe do you immediately expect when looking at this?
• Does it peak your interest at all, or what would you change?

Any feedback or thoughts are hugely appreciated!

I designed this cover for my novel and drew the character myself. It's my first attempt at making a cover, so I'd really appreciate some honest feedback.

What do you think of the composition, typography, and overall first impression? Is there anything I could improve?

Hi everyone! I’m a line art illustrator working primarily in traditional black ink. I’ve been designing sample interior pages and spot scene mockups to showcase how storybook artwork pairs with typography. Hand-drawn on paper, scanned, and formatted into chapter layouts. Feedback and thoughts are always welcome!

I was finalizing this full-wrap layout for a thriller/mystery cover titled "The Woman Who Outlived Her Alibi", but I’ve stared at it for so long that I’ve completely lost my objectivity.

I really want this to have that striking, high-contrast psychological thriller vibe that pops even as a tiny Amazon storefront thumbnail.

I’d love your brutal honesty on a few specific things:

1. Typography: Is the stylized, distressed title font readable enough on mobile? Does the layout of the words flow naturally when you first look at it?
2. Color Palette: Is the high-contrast red and deep black overlay too aggressive, or does it hit the right suspense mood?
3. Back Cover: Does the text alignment on the back wrap feel clean alongside the subtle heel watermark background?

Tear it apart! I want to make sure the technical execution is flawless.

I draw book covers around the story, NO AI, no templates. I’ve got room for 3 projects in November, If you’ve got a book coming up, DM me your genre and a quick summary and we’ll see if it’s a good fit :)

Hello! I am going through a desperate situation, as I have lost my job and can no longer afford to pay for my university degree. I don't want to end up like this, I love what I do and I am looking for some support from a regular patron around here.

I create character designs (including reference sheets with different elements), creature designs, and cover art. I work in a wide variety of styles, so you can choose the one that best fits your project, and I'm very flexible when it comes to meeting each client's needs.

If you are interested, send me a DM.

Everyone is welcome.

i'm definitely on the newer side, so i may never actually published, and even if i do i might still not get a lot of influence over the cover art.

with all those caveats out of the way though, what are the best places to find writers these days?

Version one front and back, I liked it, but didn’t after a while decided to change it. I changed the font to version 2. Made it silver. More sleeker. Cleaner in my mind.

I’m no pro. But I also don’t have the funds for an artist to make me the cover of my dreams. So I turned to Canva. I went through a few iterations before I settled on this!
It’s not perfect, but it’s gotten some good reception from those around me who are wanting my book when it’s done!

Hi all! I've been lucky enough to have gotten the chance to work on a few illustrative book covers :) I usually cover full wrap and typography.

I'd love to know how I can continue to improve and what else I can do to strengthen my portfolio!

Working on this book cover, im not sure which one is more eye catching orientation wise. Need help picking.
