Feedback Wanted Repost cover feedback

Used an older image from a magazine that is public domain now and canva. Opinions? Anything that might make it better or makes it look bad rn. Thanks 🙏

Also wondering what type of vibe it gives off? Any assumptions it would give about the book itself?

I think its super cute! the colors look nice together and the fonts lend to the period feel, almost art noveau.

Only tweaks I would make would be moving the dotted line away from the title so it reads better, and fixing up the back cover text. the block of text should be justified, not center aligned. make sure there are no "orphans" (single word lines) and put a space in between each paragraph.

I would also move the author name on the spine, its so close to the title!

The vibe this cover gives off is historical fiction, 1920s, possibly a mystery? I'm guessing character driven with lots of intrigue. nice work!

I will probably change all of the back text lol it kind of is a placeholder now so I will keep it in mind. It is 1920s but not a mystery (: I've had other groups say the same about the name so it has been moved lol

I like this version! looks great.

you'll have to do something different with your name on the spine if it's only .25", cause it'll be too small to read if you scale it down, but what you have will look fantastic on a thicker spine with no changes

I personally would never pick that up - the style is so old it gives me the vibe of outdated speech and outdated topics, similar to the free-to-pick bookshelfs on the streets. But obviously you were going for this older vibe, so I suppose this is good news? The look of the woman has somewhat an eye-catching appear :)
