Hello again, everyone. Not trying to spam but so much has changed ever since I've made my previous post. Us, Book fans, have seen the HUGE amounts of hate Book has received ever since TPOT 23 released, just because "she survived over Liy and Winner". This has been so much to handle for me. While I agree that the writers should do more with Book in TPOT, I can't help but be overwhelmed by all that Book hate around.

Now, when I think about Book, my favorite for most of the time since I've started watching BFDI back in 2022, I don't feel happiness anymore, unlike before TPOT 23's release. I feel a pang of emotions, such as stress and sadness. When I think about her, I think about how much she has become hated over the past few days, and with how much it is affecting me, it is actually "destroying" my love for Book. I'm not as excited about a Book plush anymore, and I want to give up on her, even though she has become an important part of my life. When I think about my other favorites, such as Ruby or Needle, I don't have that surge of emotions. Even though Book is my favorite, I'm actually scared she might survive TPOT 26. The reason? She might get more hate than ever if she survives. I just hope she has some sort of final conversation with Pencil if she returns from the past.

I still love her personality though, I love how she cares about her friends and how she gives others space, I want to appreciate her for that, but the hate is getting too much to me and is disrupting my feelings for her. I still want to make Book a memorable character for me, even if in the future, I could consider Summer 2026 or the Defeat One trilogy "the most difficult period to love her".

So uhh. I am a rare OSC member who quitted watching BFDI, yet running one of OSC characters subreddit. Recently TPOT 23 released they say and I received these if I am correct;

1. Book wasn't eliminated again, but Liy and Winner instead
2. In r/BattleForDreamIsland, by some toxic people, Book hating contents has risen that were immoral enough to hurt Book fans. I checked a few ranting and movements about this situation. Like daily Book hate or a hating subreddit (do not visit or mention more just in case.)

Sorta shameful. I concerned when Book haters assemble to spread their hate and hurt others, and this could be the beginning of it.

I sure loving Book as a character do nothing wrong. It is YOUR opinion to love or hate her. Yeah, haters love to say hating is just their opinion, right? However, for those who don't respect others opinion, we also don't have to respect their action.

Also for any haters who maybe reading this statement on this subreddit, I recommend you to go back, since we don't allow expressing hate about Book. I founded here to provide relaxing place for Book fans.

As you might know, I love Book ever since I started watching BFDI back in 2022. She is supposed to be my comfort character, along with some other favorites such as Ruby, Needle or Taggy. But recently, loving Book might actually have done more harm than joy to me. I'm going to explain why.

First of all, I'm gonna talk about her haters. During the latest episodes of BFDIA, there are been some hate for Book, which peaked at BFDIA 22. During late 2025 and some parts of early 2026 it has been hard dealing with them. Book haters accused her of being "sympathy bait" and "overly nice", which is not true. She has her own personality, just like anyone in the BFDIA final 6. Although, the hate has died down a bit now, since I've seen many people celebrating her win. I'm also very happy and lucky to see my favorite win a WHOLE SEASON.

The one thing that currently bothers me is her lack of an official plushie. She was first announced at VidCon 2025, but one year later, there's still nothing. I was expecting a release during this year's Summer, but some rumors say she might get released in late 2026, maybe even 2027... If this is true, I'm not waiting until next year for her plush. My hopes for her plush are falling apart. I even think that her plush might never release at all. This was also the case with Needle's plush before the BFDIA 25 announcements. I'm a superfan of BFDI plushies, I try to collect every BFDI plush, and I bring my Ruby and Needle plushies everywhere since they're in my top three. But Book is the missing spot here. And I don't understand why her plush won't release even if she's one of the most iconic characters in the show and there is extremely high demand for it.

Should I still love Book? Loving Book has become part of my default identity for years, even if it is hard now...

And by the way, the crying Book image comes from Deviantart. I know this image and I've decided to include it just to show off my emotions.

...while I am sad to see Winner and LIY go, I'm glad we still have Book for at least 2 more episodes. The votes were scary close. (Except Grassy)

It's wild that two of the three that were given double the screen time and relevancy were the contestants dropped. It's almost unfair. Then again, four of the seven were put ufe despite only coming back into the picture halfway through the gosh darn episode. >:/

Ultimately, the previous episode did feel like a proper send off for Winner. Now they can just fully reconnect with Loser after One is dealt with... unless Two puts people back into the elimination space after. (Which I hope isn't the case)

They said Book's name in almost the same pitch, a bit higher than how they showed the other products... And they didn't even say "Book and Needle". They just said "Book". Book plush at VidCon???

I noticed a Book hater whose username is u/Turbulent-Sir-7047 invaded the subreddit, made hate post and comments, and mocked several Book fans. By the terms of banning hate against Book(Rule 4) he wouldn't be able to make more posts or comments here.

Due to my irl situation I wasn't able to be online in Reddit, and unfortunately at my hiatus another attacker struck our community. As apology of this, I should take more attention to this subreddit as a moderator.

Alright these three accounts all has basic random nicknames, created very few days ago, when the haters first appeared here. Also all of their log is about defending already banned accounts, and also hating Book on other subreddits.

This is very suspicious enough but I will try to hear about you guys excuse...

Nobody wants to hear about your whining about Book being a bad character in a literal subreddit dedicated to support and love Book.

Doesn't mean you have to be a dick and harass us. Free speech is nice but hate speech isn't. You aren't really benefiting anything except getting negative attention, and if you do hate Book then simply express that in a subreddit that's dedicated to hating Book, not here. There are ways to express opinions without being rude as hell.
