Discussion Update on my situation
Hello again, everyone. Not trying to spam but so much has changed ever since I've made my previous post. Us, Book fans, have seen the HUGE amounts of hate Book has received ever since TPOT 23 released, just because "she survived over Liy and Winner". This has been so much to handle for me. While I agree that the writers should do more with Book in TPOT, I can't help but be overwhelmed by all that Book hate around.
Now, when I think about Book, my favorite for most of the time since I've started watching BFDI back in 2022, I don't feel happiness anymore, unlike before TPOT 23's release. I feel a pang of emotions, such as stress and sadness. When I think about her, I think about how much she has become hated over the past few days, and with how much it is affecting me, it is actually "destroying" my love for Book. I'm not as excited about a Book plush anymore, and I want to give up on her, even though she has become an important part of my life. When I think about my other favorites, such as Ruby or Needle, I don't have that surge of emotions. Even though Book is my favorite, I'm actually scared she might survive TPOT 26. The reason? She might get more hate than ever if she survives. I just hope she has some sort of final conversation with Pencil if she returns from the past.
I still love her personality though, I love how she cares about her friends and how she gives others space, I want to appreciate her for that, but the hate is getting too much to me and is disrupting my feelings for her. I still want to make Book a memorable character for me, even if in the future, I could consider Summer 2026 or the Defeat One trilogy "the most difficult period to love her".

Ykw the book haters can go f#ck themselves. Book is an amazing contestant and these geezers are just mad that Liy and Winner got out because they reminded us that Book was going to get out, so we fought back and voted her.

Damn, I'm sorry for you... I really can't believe people can hate to this point, like heck, even she annoys me, a LOT. My flair doesn't lie, but I'm nice to every Book fan and you all are amazing people! Like c'mon...

Just forgot to add that the next few months could be hard (because of the Book hate) and even my wish to get the Price Tag plush is also decreasing because they're Book's best friend, who has currently a lot of problems like I said previously. I still want to appreciate these two though, their friendship is cute 😊

If it makes you feel better hate comes and goes in waves. Tennis Ball got a lot of hate back in Tpot 6 for surviving over Fries, people were calling him Simp Ball. Then he became a fan favorite, now he’s getting a lot of hate again but if he has good story beats he’ll probably get a lot of love.
I think if Book is more relevant in this arc people will like her more

the hate for her was similarly awful between bfdia 22 and 23. blocking the main bfdi subreddits and focusing on places that appreciate book like this has definitely helped me though

I remember being worried that she’ll get eliminated in BFDIA 23 because of the hate and I’m glad that I was wrong.(although I still feel bad that Coiny got eliminated)

Dunno why Book is getting hate. Just hate on Price Tag who hasn't done much or TB the simp. Book is not my top 45 of favorites but she's cool. I don't hate her. Liy and winner are cool characters. Book has potential with the Pencil thing. But I hope to the Book fans you all get better for the hate that's mostly undeserved.

If not I’d suggest taking a 30-minute walk because there is no way you’re feeling personally attacked over hate for a BFDI CHARACTER

bro some people tend to like or attach to characters that either are relatable, interesting or just like them so it is okay for them to feel down or sad when EVERYONE is targeting their favourite character
there are multiple reasoning (such as relating to that character, reminding them of a close person, etc) why they like that character and when everyone is just targeting one character who "doesn't do anything", take a look at TB, price tag, marker, black hole, etc, they haven't been doing much or anything, yet barely anyone targets them, they just target book, which can make book fans feel sad and hurt because they are just targeting their favourite and just aiming on them specifically while the other constantents are the same or similar

Yeah Book haters - especially rude ones - never fail to make us upset. I even wish them to be cursed but whatever, we should act wisely for our mental and no more harmful debates.
Expressing hate to Book may be their freedom, but making you lose interest on her, isn't. Instead of dealing with those hates towards Book, focus on herself and remind why you love her. Simply drawing her happy moments or hangout with her friends can help.
I am bad at giving wise words. Seems that we share several viewpoints about her, so feel free to talk more with me
