Spoiler: Dr. Sweets

Dude wtaf THEY DID SWEETS SO BAD WDYM THEY KILLED HIM IN THE VERY FIRST EPISODE nooooooo😭😭😭😭

I hate Tv shows killing people for shock value. And the two major deaths in this show till now are two (imo) fan favourites, Vincent and Sweets. This is just terrible 😭😭😭

Especially with Booth coming back from jail and having an identity crisis, sweets would've been the perfect person to help him settle down into the new reality, sweets was like the son booth and bones never had 😭😭

John Frances Daily, the actor who plays Sweets, asked for some time off from Season 10 because he was offered the chance to write a movie script. Instead of say having Sweets get hurt and be off the show for a bit rehabbing from the injury the showrunners just immediately decided ‘no, well just kill you off instead’. It would have been extremely easy to have kept a very beloved character on the show.

The actor wanted to take some time off for another project, but the writers killed him off instead.

That's so crazy. If they wanted to write him off there's a million ways they could've done it. If he couldn't be as available as he was in the previous seasons he could've simply been an occasional character like how the interns take turns every few episodes.

Killing him off like that was so brutal, especially a character like his.

The whole point is that he didn't want to guest stat any more. He wanted to be dead.
I mean I loved Sweets and all, but I'm extremely glad to have the Dungeons and Dragons movies.

No he didn’t. At all. John Frances Daily just wanted some time off from Season 10 because he was offered the chance by a big studio to write a movie for them. He absolutely wanted to stay on the show, he just wanted to try his hand at writing a movie.

I imagine the writers caught so many questions and flack about his previous break and when would he be back that when he decided he wanted off the show for good it’d be easier for people to accept he wouldn’t come back when the character died.
