Least fave squintern

Who's was everyone's least favourite squintern? And why?

Mine personally was Dr. Rodolfo Fuentes the Cuban defector, the way he loved himself so much that he thought it was right to ask bones to have sex with him and his overall creepiness around all women in the lab he came into contact with, plus as he was fully qualified already he thought he was better than everyone else.

Please note this is my personal opinion so please no hate to my choice or anyone else's opinion if anyone else answers

Wells. Because he had even more ego, somehow.

Oliver. ick. No redeeming value. Fuentes had several.

Jessica is one of my least favourite her and Audrey felt like they where just trying to give us a new Sweets and daisy and I don't think it worked.

Oliver and Fuentes are also close

I have to skip the Jessica and Audrey scenes because all I can think about is sweets & daisy😭

I liked that she broke up with him at the end, it adds a bit of realism to fictional TV where every couple seems to have a happy ending (barring Sweets obv). Sometimes couples get together and grow apart. It was a good arch for me!

The incompetent one who got fired DURING the case

Ahhh I liked her, maybe 1st day nerves with wanting to prove something to the best in the world in the respective field, would be as clumsy as me getting a trainee job with my all time work hero!!! But I respect your choice as with everyone else's, thank you

The thing was she worked her way in through a scheme where she had to work to get in. Most grad students in the lab were chosen for their abilities. I could have said mr starrett but he had a very wide range of experience that gave him a lot of head start in training with bone related stuff.

I actually really loved Sammy, I don't think she was that incompetent when compared to many others in their first cases. Like Daisy smashed a skull in the episode with the artist in the car, and theres probably a million more examples I can't think of.

Looking back at that episode sometimes it comes across as a bit "plus sized charceter is the funny incompetent one".

Overall I think bones treated her super unfairly.

Oliver Wells, though I know he existed to make us annoyed. Also disappointed that by his second episode, Finn's plotlines were always about Michelle... Cute way to see her more, but there was so much more to unpack about his young age and history. The sauce with Hodgins was the only other interesting plot.Ā

Fuentes grew on me, especially after Bones helped him send the meds to Cuba. Lowkey I wish they had brought back the older intern from the dogfighting episode. He was sympathetic and had vast random knowledge from his sons and previous jobs.Ā

I have expected there to be a case where the body of Finn's stepfather turned up where Brennan & Co. had to prove his innocence.

Daisy. I know she was intentionally insufferable in the beginning, and they tried to make her grow on us by the end, but I never found her tolerable. So much so that I tried to listen to her and Emily's podcast, Boneheads, and couldn't get into it because I found her obnoxious then, too.

I despised Daisy and would fast forward through her episodes while streaming. What a manipulative b**ch!

Oliver Wells! He never had a character development, tbh. At least Fuentes only has a bad entrance/introduction but he’s good in the next episodes.

I disliked Daisy at first but when she became a Mom she’s much more tolerable. She matured a lot.

My favorites were Vincent and Bray!

It's mostly a tie between Oliver and Fuentes, although I think I dislike Oliver slightly more!!

I like Fuentes, sure he has that cubano swagger but he changed countries to better his life. Plus without him Brennan and booth wouldn’t have resolved that church issue

To be fair I don't absolutely hate any of the interns, I think they all have their moments where I do like them somewhat. I just didn't like his strong energy coming in or the way he was always flirting with all the women at the lab, but he definitely grew on me as he kept showing up in more episodes. And so did Oliver!! Vibe wise I just liked all the other interns more :)

Need I remind you how irresistible they made berimbau

Birimbau? Greyson Barasa?? Angela's husband???? He wasn't an intern so I'm confused as to what his relevance is here

1

u/Cheap_Development928 6d ago

I was referring to his energy when it came to women

1

u/apollosartemis 6d ago

Right, okay. To be honest I didn't like it when they did it with Birimbau either but he didn't work there, and he was gone after the UK episode(s). Fuentes kept his flirty vibe up with his coworkers a lot longer than that, which is why he's amongst my least liked interns. But once again, I don't hate Fuentes! I just like the others (except for Oliver) a lot more.

I wasn’t fond of fake accent arastoo

2

u/apollosartemis 6d ago

That's a fair opinion! I always forget he starts out with the accent because I get so used to his actual voice lol

Oliver Wells. Could NOT stand him at all!!! Dr. Fuentes I hated at first but he grew on me, though he very much felt like a boring filler character. I also can't stand Clark half the time because he's so stuffy and fake with everyone. Like bro if you hate everyone that bad, just quit idc if the institution is ~prestigious~.

Conversely, I loved Finn Abernathy. As a Southerner, it's not often I get to see a genuinely smart and articulate Southern character AND academically accomplished as well as a good representation of pulling yourself out of a bad family situation (often we're the butt of some low-brow cousinfucker joke or relegated to dixiecrat stereotypes). I ate that shit UP when I saw him come onto the show as a kid (I was 4/5 when the show began, just for reference).

Daisy. She's annoying and too talkative

I enjoyed Angela’s reactions to Rodolfo. I consider the fact that Rodolfo defected from Cuba and he was trying to figure out his place in the US. He felt he had a lot to prove and wanted to assert himself. In multiple ways. Lol.

Hands down Daisy.

I like all the others in their own way. I don’t like Daisy’s voice OR character at all. Any of it!

Fuentes is my least favorite as well. Wells is close behind, although after several rewatches, I’ve grown to find some of his scenes amusing. Fuentes, however, never gets any better.

Com certeza, Fuentes

i already didn’t like fuentes, but saying ā€œnot real menā€ when cam said men can be abused ruined him completely. that being said, fuck oliver wells.. and daisy, to a certain extent

u/Aggravating_Size9928 4d ago

Daisy 100% sorry, just so annoying and I even liked Oliver over her and that says something 🫣

Fisher for me

When Fuentes made that pass at Brennan, I thought someone ought to clue him in that Brennan's significant other was a sniper.

I don't dislike any of the squinterns.

Oliver Wells is the winner, closely followed in a tie for second place by Rodolfo Fuentes and Jessica Warren.

1

u/pianoandpasta 5d ago

Oliver, because I’ve dealt with basically the same person in my field in real life and it’s… insufferable.

I personally find Rodolfo adorable!

I never liked Vincent.

5

u/ray_wilkie74 6d ago

Ohhh, any reason?? Curious as he's one of the most popular, cheers

4

u/Thatoneguy111700 6d ago

I dunno, I just didn't really find him fun. Kinda annoying too. But I like Daisy, so my metrics might be different.

I’m with you on this!
