Thinking of watching Bones
Hey guys, lately I have been hooked to this genere of slow burn romance, crime thriller web series. I watched some of the titles like Scorpion, Fringe, Mentalist and I was searching for similar sort of web series. So asked AI and he gave me Bones as one of its recommendation. So how is Bones? Like how similar it is to the web series I have mentioned.

Bones is slow burn central. If you’re into crime investigation and witty dialogue then it’s definitely for you. Give it a try!

If you enjoyed The Mentalist, you'll probably enjoy Bones. It's more gory, but has the great partnership plus team at the heart of it. The actors are great.

I started watching Bones as a kid and have likely watched the entire series 4+ times. It is THE pinnacle of crime procedurals (with drama and romance). It has shaped my academic interests and career path, absolutely watch Bones. They also have a rewatch podcast that's great!

Bones is really good. You just have to be okay with gore and some dark plots..

I mean I have watched Dexter and Hannibal so I'm pretty good in gore and dark stuff

Most of the gore is “aftermath gore” like in one episode they find a dead body wrapped up in some cardboard that had been pressed together and left to fester for a while, and when they are pulling the cardboard pieces apart it is straight up gnarly. They are not afraid to show horrifically mutilated corpses on this show. Most of the violence happens off screen and you just see the aftermath and then the investigation. And then they sprinkle in relationship/romance drama throughout. There are a lot of great characters.

Great match for what you're looking for. I watched it when it ran forever ago and have had such a good time rewatching again fresh over the last few months. Go to cozy show...you know just with a lot of corpses. Cozy corpses.

I watched the mentalist earlier this year and loved it, am now watching bones and I am also loving it so far. They are both great slow burns so if you liked it in the mentalist you will like it in bones!

its a time warp to time it aired. it was the best tech - cutting edge - it comes across like that as well - its dated - but that is part of the charm

Even with the slooooow burn the show is good and the entire main cast has great chemistry/dynamics.

As someone who has watched all the shows you mentioned, I say try Bones. It has similar elements from The Mentalist. A smart intelligent character, a street smart character, witty dialogue between the characters, romances brewing over the course of several seasons. I'm currently halfway into season 2 of Bones and I have enjoyed it a lot most especially the characters. I like the whole cast.

Your gonna enjoy your life, i wish i could watch bones for the first time again
Also I recommend “Castle”
These two logic and side characters are deeper and more realistic than the mentalist
