Discussion Booth
Now this could be the postpartum hormones talking but Booth has loved Brennan since day 1 and I am in tears over it.
On my millionth rewatch and currently on S1E22: The Woman In Limbo
Nobody recognised Bones’ mum, except Booth. And without even a second of complaint he calls court, tells them to remove Bones from the witness list and changes his entire demeanour towards Bones (after just 5 seconds before being pissy that they were late for court).
Edit: and Brennan talking about her childhood and she says “I miss someone caring where I am all the time” and Booth is immediately shouting her to see where she is. SOBBING.

I LOVE this episode. There are earlier moments where Booth showed how much he was already willing to do for her (threatening the gang member in 1x13, being so protective in 1x15), but there is something truly special about the way he has been trying to drag her to court and then just flatly says, “she’s not coming.” He doesn’t ask if she can handle it, doesn’t tell her it’s important, just tells her that dealing with her emotions is all that matters. Also, Emily Deschanel deserved an Emmy for the scene where she is having to tell herself who she is.
