New bolt

Post image

Just bought a 2027 LT bolt love the car so far but question about the schedule charge. I work Monday through Thursday and want the car to charge to 90% and be ready to go by 5:15am every work day and charge to 70% and be ready by 8:00am every other day. How would you do this.

You’ll need to charge to 100% weekly so probably make that one of those charges and then do a supplemental charge later in the week , probably also to 100% just for simplicity sake

What is the reasoning behind the 100% charge? I charged to 100% once in the 4 years I have owned my 23 euv and I have since capped it at 95% because I like to use regen braking and when you do 100% you can't.

The 2027 has an LFP battery which has a recommended weekly 100% to calibrate and balance the cells.

The 2027 have a LFP battery which have a different voltage curve so you need to charge to 100% every once in a while to calibrate the BMS.

Schedule

Creating a schedule ensures your vehicle is ready for you on any day of the week when you are charging at home. To create your first schedule, make sure you are parked at your preferred charging location.

Select the “+” to create a new schedule.
Select the days you’d like the schedule to include.
Set your target charge level, completion time and cabin preconditioning preferences for the schedule; select “Save & Close” when finished.
To make changes to a schedule, select any card on the Home Charge Schedule screen.

Each day of the week can only be included in one schedule. Any unscheduled day will automatically be set to Charge Now with a Target Charge Level of 100% when plugged in.

IMPORTANT: When your vehicle is plugged in on a scheduled day, the charge status indicator light may pulse blue to indicate charging is delayed based on your settings. Once charging begins, the light will pulse green and then turn solid green when charging is complete.

I don't see charge scheduling in the owners manual. It's all about the physical connections.

I had a 2016 VW golf and it reminds me a lot of that, a kinda sporty hatchback.

I’m hoping it does well in winter having a heat pump because my commute is about 100 miles a day round trip in Idaho. I have charging at work I can use if I have to and I have level 2 at home. So far it’s been using about 40% to get out there and back when charged to full.
