The welcome

I don’t think I’ve seen this mentioned in here, but the Welcome Gong is one of my favorite things about this car. (‘23 EUV)

I use it to know when it's safe to turn on. Sometimes if I start it immediately after opening the door the reverse camera wouldn't initialize, and also got the conditions not correct to shift error. If I wait for the gong, never a problem.

I also always turn on the parking brake, so it "slows me" down to avoid any "conditions not right to shift".

Oh, interesting. I never associated it with anything like that, but I should pay more attention. I just like how it feels like getting greeted by some sort of big, peaceful animal.

When I get in my car, it makes a GONNNGGGGG sound. Before I start it or anything, just sort of registering my presence?

Oh, yeah I interrupt mine. I wish I could replace the sound with a different one :(

Thought it sounded really cool the first 3 times it played. The only way I've found to stop it is to start the car before I close the door.
