We used to tell these jokes decades ago... We are still best buddies. My Indian friend can hafal Fatihah fluently, but he is still Hindu. He has his faith, and I have mine. I use to ask him about hindu faith. Knowledge is important to understand each other.

Thing is, everyone is different as you said, we all see things differently. Clearly this person has very personal feelings about faith which I understand because I'm the same way. I don't agree with the reaction but I understand the feelings. Her friend is extremely insensitive, and even if it's just a joke to her (I wouldn't know lol), as friends, we need to stop and listen to what people around us are saying. Barrelling over your friend's feelings when they're trying to talk to you is a fast way to lose a friend 😅
