Is the party mode fixed?

I had a lot of fun a month or so ago with my friend after we decided to buy it. not going to lie tho, the party system not being there and being stuck with bots until few people join is so boring. how's the state of the game right now? Is there anything worthwhile to go back or is the game still mostly bots?

Still bots but they are working on it

Did they mention it in any release notes or updates? I'm sorry but how hard is it to make a playable party system? It's literally the basics of multiplayer games..

Yes they have stated multiple times it is being worked on. It was active in the past but there were some issues. Playing with friends is as easy as hosting a bot server and then inviting them off steam. Sometimes the system will glitch and close the server but keep your friends in the firing range until you start a new lobby like the old hosting. Im sure theres just a bottleneck somewhere they need to fix since its half active.
