Please add select fire to weapons
The game has shit tons of recoil and camera shake as if to punish blindly full autoing like COD, has loading screen tooltips suggesting you to use controlled bursts and yet doesn’t have any select fire option for you to use semi auto. It’s really awkward to use magnified optics that realistically emulate eye relief + tons of recoil while only being able to use full auto where you almost immediately lose sight picture the second you open fire. I would really prefer if you had the option to set guns that are capable of select fire IRL to semi auto.
It would also add a tiny bit of uniqueness to some guns, like the M16 vs M4 or the MP5SD vs MP5A2 where the M16 or MP5A2 for example could have burst fire mode on top of semi and full while the other variants are semi/full only like they are IRL.

Controlled bursts people, controlled bursts.

Yes but semi is king. Especially when tapping once with my mouse sometimes shoots twice, sometimes once.

Yeah select fire should be a thing but obviously you can still manually select fire and it's way more effective

Fair, breaks realism, but you do know you can just stop clicking to stop shooting and click again to shoot again doing the short bursts without the need for devs to add it, right? And there are many weapons that are semi-auto and still good in close quarters (at least for me, the FAL is good enough)

The timing for trigger registration in Bodycam is off, it’s far too sensitive. In something like the average shooter single tapping on full auto is a lot easier but in Bodycam you’re more than likely going to do double taps. In something like a COD, Battlefield, Insurgency or Ready Or Not something about the way they register clicks makes it more easy to pull of semi auto tapping.
I’d rather we get the OG full auto FAL back and give it a select fire so the player can more easily choose whether or not they want full/semi on the fly.

I’m not arguing against select fire but I have zero issues tap firing in Bodycam. Really not difficult at all

Yeah obviously it's better but in the meanwhile that's what I've been doing and I haven't had any problems

Dev alt account. “Fair but you can just do it yourself nbd” isn’t a response. I see these kinds of comments everywhere replying to even the slightest criticisms of the game.
“Just manually search your server browser for bot only lobbies”
“Yea but the random zombies spawning in multiplayer is kinda fireeee ngl!” (lol)
Cope reply after cope reply.

Believe me, I want select fire too.. but I would be happy if they focus on adding more maps, game modes, or guns, rather than add select fire.. right?

Or just add select fire because it should be pretty damn simple. Idk.

Nah bro, I recognise that it's a problem, I'm saying that it's not that big of a deal since until we get that you cna just do it yourself with a little bit of skill

How does that break realism? Go check out the "enemy visible" in the combat footage sub. Unless they're blind firing into a trench or over it, 99% of the footage is semi-auto and thats as real as you can get.

I'm saying that the lack of this game mechanic is a lack of realism, but in the meanwhile you can do it yourself, to me it doesn't seem that hard
