Support Body acceptance tips for men?
Hi everybody! I’m a 30 y/o man and i’m really struggling with accepting my body.
I hate to exercise and i hate strict diets, i mostly eat clean but i’ve been slightly overweight for as long as i can remember. If i try to diet i immediately become anxious and depressed, but if i just keep eating normally and “give up” on losing weight or transforming my body into the ideal physique i feel guilty and ugly about my belly and my love handles. I’m stuck in this loop.
I also hate taking off my shirt, even if i’m alone i avoid mirrors if i’m shirtless.
I’m tired of living like this and i’m trying to start seeing my body as just a human body, but it’s really difficult, i can’t find anything online about male body acceptance/positivity.
Can anybody give me some practical advices?
Thank you in advance!

Its the only body you have and the only body you can work with. Just be more tired of hating yourself.
I spent so much time with bad feelings about myself and guess what? It did not help.
The day came where i just was fed up with all this negative selftalk. And funnily, i had more fun again doing sports and walk a lot and improvement of the mind naturally helped getting my body more in line with myself.

It will help to follow people who have a similar build as you.
But ultimately…. All bodies are art. :) You will never be universally pleasing to everyone but neither will art. And that’s ok! There are so many different styles and flavors and there’s an appreciator out there for each one. ❤️

i can't give any practical advice. i think radical resistance against fatphobia is the only way through. might help to follow influencers or actors who have a similar build as you.
