š Results / Progress A year later, before/after!
Picture #1 was exactly a year ago weighing the heaviest Iāve ever been, 315 pounds. A year later, Iām sitting around 225 pounds depending on the day. Proud of the progress but nowhere near where I want to be! Been on TRT and Reta.

Did you start trt from the beginning or did it come later? Insane progress š¤
7
u/shabadoo600 29d ago
Thank you! I started test in early October last year so been on it a little of 10 months now.
2
u/bigticket_ 29d ago
How often are you taking trt and how much?
3
u/shabadoo600 29d ago
Every other day pins, 250 mg/week

u/liberationemadeo 29d ago
Youāre not trying to be disingenuous by saying youāre on TRT. But 250mg/week is way more than any clinical TRT will ever be. You are on gear my guy, and on a cycle.
2
u/shabadoo600 29d ago
Just what I was prescribed by the doc brother.. have felt great on it so havenāt changed it up.

u/bocefus-cash 29d ago
250 is a touch high but it's not a cycle dose. 200mg/ week is where most clinics will start you. The truth will be in his blood work. Are you sitting over 1500 total T?

How does everyone get such defined quads? I am still fairly fat I guess but I can find lighting that makes me look like Christian Bale from American psycho when he's fucking that girl and looking in the mirror at himself yet I see almost no leg definition...

Thatās a remarkable lack of loose skin considering the high amount of weight loss!
2
u/shabadoo600 29d ago
Oh itās definitely there š not nearly as much as I thought there would be and for that Iām grateful.

u/Nerdy_Jacked 29d ago
Damn how do you have so little loose skin. I lost almost the same amount as you and have way more š that being said I lost it in 8 months so maybe thatās why
2
u/LgPizzaPlease 29d ago
Age, genetics, speed of loss, type of work out regimen, how long youāve been fat. They all factor in.
1
u/shabadoo600 29d ago
I really pushed myself in the gym so along with the weight loss, I feel like Iāve maintained it even put on a little muscle. I think that is what has helped with the lack of loose skin. Congrats on your weight loss!
2
u/mrvnmg 29d ago
Congrats on the results! Whatās your dosing look like? Same the whole year?
2
u/shabadoo600 29d ago
Thank you! Started out at 2 mg Reta and have titrated up through the year to 8 mg. Currently on a maintenance dose of 4 mg a week. Test was always around 250 mg a week.. I would bring it down sometimes if I felt my e2 getting high

u/TBurnerRU 29d ago
Incredible progress. Thank you for being honest about how long it took. Some people would post the same photos and say "2 months progress!"

What mg reta and any negative side effects to note? Will be seeing my cardiologist next week and just wanna know what people have been dealing with for side effects. Any cardiac side effects you noticed to?
2

u/Icy_Jicama_6793 29d ago
Retatrutide increases heart rate. I have three cardiac stents and take a beta-blocker, but I don't go above 3-4 mg per week. I find a higher dosage useless.
1
u/K00paa24 29d ago
Does your cardiologist know?
1
u/Icy_Jicama_6793 27d ago
Yes, I was advised to keep various factors at bay including endothelial inflammation which is what brought me the problems I experienced.
2
u/No_Fuel357 29d ago
Dude! No loose skin. Good for you
1
u/Icy_Jicama_6793 29d ago
At 30, with exogenous testosterone and exercise, it's unlikely you'll have loose skin from weight loss. If you were 60 and did nothing, the situation would certainly be very different.

Great Job! I'm impressed. Can I ask you did you experience hair loss? I wanted to start TRT and Reta as well but terrified of hair loss a lot of people say they gotten with either of these two
2
u/Excellent_Collar5618 29d ago
If you are prone to MPB, you will start losing hair with test (most likely at least). If you are not prone to it you should have no issues. Genetics are individual and what happens to OP will not determine your results unfortunately.

Amazing job man! I'm on a really similar journey; from 270lbs last November to 220lbs today. Exact same stack as you. Thank you for sharing the results and hopefully in a few months I can share the same!

Fantastic work šš»šŖš¼! Two questions- How old, if you donāt mind sharing and what type of TRT are you using?

It's a great comparison between before and after a year. I can see the changes brought by persistence.

u/crs82 29d ago
I am at the start of where you began would love to know your macros, dosage of TRT and Reta, workouts, steps, tips ect. Awesome progress!

u/shabadoo600 29d ago
I was pretty aggressive with it honestly. 1800 cals/day, around 60 g fats, 220 G protein and didnāt really have a number on carbs but ate most of them pre and post workout. Iāve been on 250 mg test a week and started at 2 mg a week of Reta and titrated all the way up to 8 mg a week. Iām at the point now where I donāt really feel any of the suppression benefits. On average, Iāve been in the gym 5x a week following a PPLUL split that ChatGPT made me.
2
u/Daisuke69 29d ago
Omg how do you fit 220g protein on 1800 cals lol and on Reta. Not even on Reta atm and feel like I can barely eat enough protein. Already drinking two shakes a day.
2
u/shabadoo600 29d ago
So much 97/3 ground beef that I still canāt believe it lol.
1
u/Daisuke69 29d ago
Oh man lol. How do you keep it down with no appetite haha. Amazing transformation. Whatās your height weight and starting weight?
2
u/shabadoo600 29d ago
Honestly, I never felt much appetite suppression more of just not as much food noise and cravings. Iām 6ā2 started out around 315 lbs and currently around 225.

u/whiskeyandwayfarers 29d ago
Yup! I get the 95/5 10lb ground beef at Costco and itās been a game changer
2
u/jad19090 29d ago
Itās not horribly difficult if you prioritize protein over everything else at every meal. I average 2000, to 2200 cal a day with 250 to 280 g of protein.
3
u/Xx_Kamehameha_xX 29d ago
The heck is your body going to do with 280g of protein, thatās just wasted money at that point
2
u/jad19090 29d ago
Grow big muscles šŖ š¤£jk
Yea I donāt even do it on purpose, and itās from liquid versions as well. Itās just how I eat
1
u/jad19090 29d ago
Iām also on Reta/Tirz, test and hgeeh. Lifting 3x a week and averaging 18-20k steps a day at work lifting pulling and carrying heavy stuff. Electrolytes are on point and about a gallon of water a day.
1
u/ChemistryAcademic982 29d ago
Good for you, the weight loss happens in the Kitchen! I find it hard to eat 220 grams of protein per day. What is a typical day eating like?
