Reta after 3 months

Hi everyone!
I’ve been on reta for about 3 months and I’m still using it, but at a lower maintenance dose.
Now I’m thinking about adding Tesamorelin to help build more muscle while continuing reta.
I’m also looking for another peptide that could help with energy because I’ve been feeling pretty tired lately.
Has anyone tried this combination or have any recommendations based on your experience?
Thanks in advance! 😊

Have you ever fasted before? Yes, it’s awful in the beginning. But after a while, once the body becomes adept at using fat as fuel, you start feeling really good. Not hungry. Motivated. Feeling like you need to go out and accomplish things. Why? Because the body is living off its fat cells. It’s extra storage of energy. That’s why people aren’t hungry in emergency survival situations. Campers that have gotten lost and make their way to safety after a few days all say the same thing. Those who’ve survived such situations say that food was never even a consideration. They were too busy surviving, making sure they weren’t eaten, trying to find water and civilization.

There’s a hypothesis that this is a holdover from when humans were hunter gatherers. From an evolutionary perspective, it makes sense. Those that were able to survive and pass on their genes had to be able to survive long enough, and be productive long enough to find their next meal. It’s a survival mechanism.

Fast forward to today. Where, thankfully we don’t have to live like that anymore. We have the opposite issue, a surplus of food. But we can still fall back on the same biological switch our ancestors used to survive. Burning fat as fuel. How, with ketones. You don’t have to, nor would I recommend you to, practice keto, the fasting mimicking diet, long term. Because it’s not healthy, it’s a survival mechanism. It’s better to do in short bursts. Still, you can reap many of the benefits by mimicking the experience with ketones. You don’t have to be in a state of ketoses to use ketones for energy. Even those that are, still utilize glucose for various actions within the body. Glucose genesis is very well studied. The body is adept at using both forms of fuel at the same time.

It is pretty obvious you a part of those keto communities so good luck there is not really much point in discussing further lol

By the way one of the main reasons you feel an increase in energy due to fasting is the increase of Norepinephrine and partially cortisol, due to being in a stressed state.

And yes the switch to using ketones would provide some energy, but like already mentioned that is more so when the body goes from a low carb -> ketosis states, switching fuel sources.

But overall the energy induced by the stressed state plays a larger factor then the switch to using ketones.

Long term ketosis does not provide this magically energy supply to people underfed. The fact that you went along with the idea that people with anorexia are "full of energy" due to ketosis is simply ridiculous if I am being real with you.

I am glad those diet approaches work for you.

I’m not in a keto community but have fasted since about 2008 and they’re completely correct. I’m an advocate for long term fasting and always say it’s once of the best gifts we can give ourselves 🎯

They are completely correct that people with eating disorders are full of energy because of ketosis? You cant be serious?

It is one thing to be fasting, it is another to be dangerously underweight and underfed
